Frequently asked questions:
What is PSR?
PSR stands for Parish School of Religion (formerly known as CCD)
Will this replace the current school year program or is this in addition to that?
This will REPLACE that program. We will continue from now on with a 2 week religion program over the summer that will fulfill requirements for religious education. In addition to the program, we will meet periodically throughout the school year for family nights. All members of your family are encouraged to attend!
Will it be only for this year or continue from here on out?
This will continue from here on out.
Will there be more than one session for children who can’t make it at that time?
Unfortunately we only offer one session over the summer. For the children who are unable to attend we offer the homeschool option, and we will hopefully see you on campus next summer!
What grade do I sign my child up for? The grade they’re in now or the grade they will be in?
Whatever grade your child will be in the following fall , is the grade they will be in for religion.
If we know we will miss more than 1 day can we still come?
ABSOLUTELY! We would love to have your child for any of the days! However, if you miss more than one day of summer on campus learning, you will still be required to complete the homeschool program before moving on to the next grade level. No work will be sent home from on campus learning.
If we choose homeschool how long do we have to complete the program and how much are materials?
Cost will be announced with registration. We will collect money before ordering materials (join flock notes to be sure you’re in the know!) There will be a specific pick up date for materials. You will have a set amount of time from that day to complete the program. Materials will need to be turned in before or on the date given for the end of the program to get credit for completing.
Is this for confirmation, Reconciliation, or Eucharist?
Sacrament Prep is separate and will be announced at it's time. Registration for that is different than PSR (Parish School of Religion)
