In 1917, Our Blessed Mother visited three shepherd children monthly from May 13th through October 13th in Fatima, Portugal.  She showed them the future and the key turning points of the coming century. During her appearances, Our Lady of Fatima warned of the dangers of communism about to be born in Russia. She predicted Russia’s errors would be spread throughout the world and lead to World War II. She predicted St. John Paul II’s shooting that would occur exactly 64 years to the day after her first appearance at Fatima. Our Lady also explained how the First Saturdays of every month (for five or more months in a row) could be used to bring peace to the world through Her Immaculate Heart. We need this peace now more than ever!                                                                                                                                                            The Requirements of First Saturday are:

1. Go to Confession- St Joseph the Worker offers confession 30 minutes before 7:30 AM Mass on every First Saturday of the month (Can be within 8 days before or after the First Saturday).
2. Receive Holy Communion- St Joseph the Worker offers Holy Mass and Communion at 7:30 AM on every First Saturday of the month. If there is no First Saturday Mass due to the COVID pandemic, one can offer a Spiritual Communion (see below).
3. Pray five decades of the Rosary-St Joseph the Worker prays the Holy Rosary at 7:00AM on First Saturday of the month. The rosary can be prayed at any time during the day on the First Saturday of the month.
4. Keep Our Lady company for 15 minutes while meditating on the mysteries of the Holy Rosary. This requirement can be done after the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:15 AM OR any other time during the day on the First Saturday of the month.

St. Joseph the Worker also offers the Anointing of the Sick for all in attendance on every First Saturday of the month.

Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, 
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. 
I love You above all things, 
and I desire to receive You into my soul. 
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, 
come at least spiritually into my heart. 
I embrace You as if You were already there 
and unite myself wholly to You. 
Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
